Pyramid schemes are illegal in the UK. We are regulated by the Direct
Sales Association and are award winners with them. Think of our industry
as many independent business owners working alongside Forever Living
Products, marketing these hard-to-find natural products from the company
warehouse, direct to the people who want them. Pyramid schemes are when goods move down a chain of people (increasing in price) and money moves up. Only a few people get very rich (at the top), and the rest (at the bottom) end up with a garage full of stock that they can't sell because it is now too expensive. In Forever Living Products, everyone deals directly with the company head office and distribution centre in Warwick. We buy at a wholesale price and sell to our customers at the retail price. Forever recognises the coaching and support we give to our new team members to start their businesses and pays us a 'thank you' percentage on the product that moves through their business. Nobody loses money because you get paid - it is all extra from Forever Living Products. All Forever requires of us in order to receive our bonus from our team's volume turnover, is that we continue to look after our own handful of customers. Would you agree that this makes sense ethically? There are no 'fat cats' in this business - we all do a little.
How much does it cost to start my business with Forever? It doesn't cost anything to join our company and there are no subscription fees to remain a business owner in Forever. However ("Ah! Here's the catch!", I hear you say... but read on), have you read how this business works? We market these hard-to-find natural health products directly to our customers. We do this by recommending. When you recommend something - a good book, film or restaurant - would you agree that it is useful if you have read it / seen it / visited it / used it yourself first? Absolutely. Ethically, we need to use the products first in order to then recommend them on to others, thereby generating our customer base. The best way to start your business is to invest in what we call the 'Fast Start' box. It is a heavily discounted box of our most fast-moving products. Do I need to be a pushy salesperson to do this business? No, definitely not - and if you are, then you're doing it all wrong. We're not in the business of being pushy sales people, nor of being the 'pub aloe bore'! When you start your business with Forever, we mentor and train you to become 'professional listeners'. We are problem solvers - that is what good business is all about. In the course of conversation with someone they may mention a problem they're dealing with. Our products or business opportunity may provide a solution, but before recommending it to them, it is essential that we find out more. Then we will know for certain if there is a 'fit' and if there is, we can simply recommend that they try a product (remember the 60 day satisfaction guarantee) or that they take a look at our business opportunity for themselves.
Will I have to sell to my friends and family? If, say, your mother has suffered from terrible back pain over the last 15 years, and is also suffering from the side effects of pain killers she has taken over that time, would you want to recommend that she try one of our natural products that might help her, with no side-effects? Or, would you prefer to ignore her situation and recommend the product to a stranger you've just met in the supermarket queue? Yes, our friends and family do tend to become our best customers (and very often they join our team to start their own business!). However, we're not out to make a quick buck from them. We care for them and simply want to offer them the opportunity to benefit from these live-changing products.
Yes! Our personal commitment to you is that we will work with you to be make a profit within 4 weeks of starting your business with us. We will work with you to find your customers (and actually do most of the work for you in the beginning!) so that you can learn. Once in profit, you'll continue to earn £175+ profit per month by looking after your handful of customers. Do I have to find my own customers? Yes, but we will help you to do it. An example of one of the most effective ways to gain your new customers is to hold an 'Aloe Evening'. Typically if you invite 7-8 friends, colleagues or family along for an evening, we will give a 45 minute informative talk about the health benefits of our products. We let everyone try some of the products we bring along and have a lot of fun in the process. Many people then want to get hold of the products for themselves - especially since we have that 60-day money-back-satisfaction-guarantee. These are your new customers and typically 3 or 4 people from an 8-person event will become regular customers. Another simple way to find customers is to listen and talk to people we meet on a daily basis. If we find out that the products might help them, then we can recommend and see if they would like to try them. This powerful business is about personally recommending products which we ourselves - or other people we know - have found benefits from. Yes, there are hundreds of internet sites trying to sell Forever Living Products (you won't find us in the shops though), but we feel they have missed the point somewhat!
How much do the trainings cost? We will personally coach you in the first months of your business - this is free. However, we will be investing our time and effort in you, and in return, we will expect you to take your business seriously and for you to invest time and effort in learning, training and taking action. The company's training programme involves many ways of learning: books, DVDs, websites, training events (local and regional), Success Days, and your local Business Presentation are to name but a few. Training events - such as with our Advisory Board are not held to make a profit - they are held for us, as business owners within Forever Living Products and typically will cost £0-£20 depending on the length of the course, materials used, whether lunch is included etc. Our training and support programme is one of the best in the industry. We are the only company of our type in the UK to have achieved the Investors in People award for our training and support (and we were accredited in the record time of 13 weeks - the average time for companies to achieve this award is between 2 and 3 years!) Of course, if you are serious about building a successful business with Forever, you will be investing a significant amount of your time and money in books, cds, dvds and training. Learning is a life-long process and everyone we work with has a learning attitude.
Success Days are held 11 times per year at different locations across England and the UK. They are 1-day events which involve training, recognition, celebrating(!), talking to fantastic people and motivation. Successful business owners in Forever Living Products attend all the Success Days.
How much does it cost to join? There is no joining fee to register with Forever and we don't pay any subscription fees to remain part of the company. However, to start your business, you will need some products. After all, that is what we do - use a bit, so we can recommend a bit. The company have put together a very economical way to start your business, called the 'Fast Start Pack'. Okay, I'm interested - what's the next stage? The next stage would be for us to meet - either face to face, or on the telephone, so that we can show you the business in more detail. Next - assuming that there is a good 'fit', we would invite you to attend one of our free core trainings, called a Business Presentation. These are held usually during the evening at many venues across the country. At this presentation you will get all the information you need to decide whether to start your business with Forever. It's also your opportunity to ask further questions and meet other people in our team - to get a 'feel' of Forever. The Business Presentation is a no-pressure, detailed look into our business. You'll learn about the background to Forever, it's business model (how we get paid!) and about the products. If it's not for you, then that's ok! What if I live a far away - can I still be part of your team? Obviously, in the early stages of planning your business, it is easier if we meet face-to-face - at least for our first planning meeting. We are based in London at present. Depending on how serious you are about getting your business up and running, we would usually meet you half way if you lived a long way away (for example if you were based in Scotland!). However, these days we can use some of the nifty communication technology we have available to us - such as Skype - to 'meet' on a weekly basis and to coach you and help you grow your business. No doubt, we would also meet at the monthly Success Days that all successful distributors attend.
How does the 60-day money back satisfaction guarantee work? If you're not completely happy with your products, as a customer you are entitled to a full money-back guarantee. Simply hand back the original receipt together with the bottle or tube (which may be empty!), and we'll give you a full cash refund. No quibble - simple as that.
